HERA
RESEARCH
As a Research Association a prime
role of HERA is to carry out scientific and technical research that is needed
to be done for New Zealand member companies and which has not been done elsewhere
in the world. 
A prime example of this is design and construction
in steel for New Zealand seismic conditions. In some aspects New Zealand is a
world leader and it is vital to continue research to maintain that position. The
carrying out and sharing of results of our research is also the entry ticket to
access the very latest research of the rest of the world through our international
networks
