The NZSSDA has availed itself of a home-study specialist course on Stainless Steels, developed by our Australian counterpart, ASSDA. The course has gained immediate acceptance in the stainless steel industry in Australia and New Zealand, as a valuable home-study tool. Nearly 300 courses have now been sold in Australasia, to suppliers, trades people, designers, educators, sales staff, engineers and others interested in stainless steel.

The popularity of the Stainless Steel Specialist Course has been due in part, to its modular format and flexibility. Students are able to tailor the subjects they study to suit their professional needs and interests. Certification for the course is either at an Intermediate Level (achieved after completion of 5 Training Modules), or the Full Certificate (after completion of at least 12 Training Modules). The Module Titles available for the course are as follows:
