During the month of April, the Metals NZ Executive consisting of nine industry associations’ Chairmen or their representatives, confirmed that the Metals Industry Conference will be held at Christchurch’s Addington Raceway & Events Centre, on September 15th.

The Heavy Engineering Research Association (HERA) along with Metals New Zealand and industry association partners SCNZ, MRM, NZSSDA, NASH, CTNZ, and GANZ will run a stream at the Metals Industry Conference 2017 and also present award at the Industry Awards Gala Dinner. The Conference format is more compact than before but will be very focused with a welcome and overview of the Canterbury rebuild and beyond by Christchurch Mayor Lianne Dalziel, and a high quality plenary presentation by economic commentator Rod Oram.
