Non Destructive Testing (NDT) includes a wide group of testing and analysis techniques to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage.

This technique covers a wide variety of industrial activity – and with new methods and applications being continuously developed, there is a range of career opportunities available.

HERA, in collaboration with the Australasian industry leader in NDT training, Advanced Technology Testing and Research (ATTAR) conducted a series of training courses in February including Ultrasonic Testing Level 1, and Magnetic Particle Testing and Liquid Penetrant Testing , Level 2. A total of 14 professionals took part in the course and the feedback received after the course was very positive.

Further NDT training offerings will include an Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 course which will take place at HERA on 26th June – 7th July.

Examination and re-examination options for UT Level 1 and 2 will be available after the course on 10th – 12th July. Certification is awarded by AINDT.

The course does not include CBIP exams; however they may be arranged after the course. The exam arrangements (application, fees, location and date) must be made with CBIP directly.
