As reported, HERA House is in last phase of an extensive $2m refurbishment which allowed us to catch up with long deferred maintenance, provide for a more efficient use of space, and give the metals industry a meeting place with a more contemporary and future-focused industry look.

HERA has just received confirmation that the Minister for Business Industry and Employment (MBIE) Steven Joyce will join the HERA staff and membership in re-opening the new look HERA House on the 20th March at 11:00am.

All HERA members are invited to join the extensive list of invited guests from industry, government and the research fraternity to celebrate this important event, along with those who did the actual work and those members who sponsored it.

This event does not just mark a new lease of life for HERA House, but also 30 years of research-driven industry development, networking and training in this industry-owned facility.

The event is planned to be a one-hour opening function, followed by a lunch at 12:00pm. The HERA Executive will have a meeting beforehand and you will be able to catch up in a social setting with the HERA governance.

HERA House tenants SCNZ, NASH and Metals NZ staff and their respective Executives have also been invited and will join the celebration. So for the HERA members further afield, why not plan your next Auckland business visit around this event and join your network for a catch-up?
