I’m a Senior Chemical Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the research industry, having delivered several complex international heat transfer projects throughout my career.
On-going areas of focus include heat exchanger optimisation design and innovation, parametric modelling and computational fluid dynamics using advanced modelling package ANSYS-CFX.
As we delve into research and development, I find we’re able to discover more opportunities to push boundaries and lead smarter thinking – it’s an exciting journey to be a part of.
Projects I’ve worked on include the thermal analysis and performance prediction of reference designs for a proposed evaporator and condenser – optimising operating conditions, developing algorithms, detecting limitations and proposing innovative concepts to mitigate risk, improve performance and ensure results align with advanced modelling.
I’ve recently worked extensively in heat exchanger technology development – analysing performance and creating full geometry drawings for the fabrication of an evaporator scaled down in size by over 50% and with significantly increased thermal performance capability.
It’s exciting to work at HERA where the tremendous time and effort we put into our clean energy R&D projects creates opportunities for our metals industry globally.
