Jane Warren

Together with my partner Andrew Wilkes, we set up our company from scratch. Starting off as Marinexpress Ltd importing and distributing a range of quality marine products for boats & recreational vehicles to meet market needs that were present.

Over time, growing our business from something we ran at home to over $1m in turnover with four staff. This was achieved by purchasing a small NZ manufacturing company and becoming a distributer for the Dixon brand which has since transitioned to manufacture other products for industry utilising the skill set of our team and investment in machinery.

Locally based in Warkworth, we now employ 20 team members and produce items for a range of fields from dairy to construction, marine and marinas, playgrounds, recreational vehicles and more.

Our intention has and always will be – to produce high quality enduring products, provide a happy and inclusive work environment and be proudly sustainable.

As a result, I’m passionate about building the New Zealand metal industries presence in the market. To me, a pathway to achieving this is by being part of the HERA Executive and contributing to the conversations that work towards this.
