As an Auckland based steel fabricator they’ve been in business since 1972 and have continually invested in the latest equipment and technology to remain competitive. However the latest challenge they’ve faced (along with most of industry) has been product conformance. Where regulations around quality of fabrication and traceability have become more stringent – something not easily fixed through acquisition!
So how have they addressed this?
Their approach has been to become certified under the Steel Fabricator Certification Scheme. We delve deeper into this, and why it was an important priority for his business, how he felt about the process to become certified and the steps they took to implement it into their operations.
